About the Role

Fas Gas Airdrie is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, handle returns and exchanges, and provide change to customers.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean the Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Ensure that all customers have paid for their items before leaving the store.
  • Verify Age for Restricted Items: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, and a team player.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and a permanent employment opportunity.
