Your Responsibilities:

  • Transform business and technical requirements into an architectural framework that meets business goals while documenting all architectural design and analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to ensure a resilient architectural foundation that accommodates future business needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assess business drivers and capabilities (both current and future) to determine the necessary enterprise solution designs and modifications required to achieve targeted business outcomes.
  • Evaluate the existing solution portfolio to identify gaps due to technology aging or misalignment with business needs.
  • Assist product managers in making informed decisions regarding the lifecycle of products, including maintenance, updates, or retirement of services and systems.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and their practical applications to support new and evolving business models.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends and their potential impact on specific solutions.
  • Guide the selection and evaluation of software standards and services, including the design of both standard and custom software configurations.
  • Advise on application and infrastructure development projects to ensure alignment with architectural standards and recommend necessary design adjustments.
  • Lead the design and analysis for implementing a solutions architecture across a specific set of business applications or technologies, aligned with enterprise strategy and standards.
  • Oversee and enhance the architecture for a broader range of projects, collaborating with application architects focused on individual initiatives.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for transitioning the enterprise solution portfolio from its current state to a desired future state.
  • Act as a consultant across various technologies and platforms to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Create architectural designs that guide and contextualize solution development across various products, services, and systems.
  • Coordinate with the project management office (PMO) to ensure project execution aligns with established plans.
  • Provide architectural governance support to application architects to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Deliver standard definitions, reference models, and architectural designs to support governance and assess the impact of technology investments.
  • Direct governance activities to ensure compliance and assurance in solutions architecture.
  • Establish principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to align decisions with the enterprise's architectural vision.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in multiple IT solution development disciplines, with a focus on business and application architecture.
  • Exposure to diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
  • Solid understanding of strategic technology trends and their application to evolving business models.
  • Familiarity with product management and agile methodologies, providing guidance on opportunities and risks.
  • Experience in developing architectural blueprints and strategic roadmaps.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture aspects such as integration, network, and security.
  • Understanding of information principles, financial models, and budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with system development life cycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, DevOps).
  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.
  • Understanding of architecture frameworks like TOGAF.
  • Familiarity with modeling languages (e.g., BPMN, ArchiMate).
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools and repositories.
  • Comprehensive understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure architecture.
