About the Role
COWI A/S is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team of experts in bridge design and project management. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for leading teams of engineers and technicians in the production of drawings and calculations, as well as supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct teams of engineers and technicians in the production of drawings and calculations
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of other engineers
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Perform structural analysis, design, evaluation, and prepare calculations and drawings
- Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes, as well as engineering reports and other technical documents
- Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact
- Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience in bridge projects with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, the City of Edmonton, and the City of Calgary
- Proven technical expertise, demonstrated experience supervising tasks in bridge design and construction, and working knowledge of modern bridge design codes
- Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) in Alberta, or ability to obtain
- Experience with 3D structural modeling with analysis software such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA
- Experience with preparing proposals, and ability to develop business development activities
