Vention Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to steer our technology decisions and architectural frameworks as our team expands. As a pivotal member of the MachineLogic division, you will be responsible for designing and developing web-based solutions that automate industrial machinery—from cloud simulations to operational management on the shop floor. This role encompasses backend development, database management, user interface design, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and all related components.

In your capacity as a Lead Software Engineer, you will engage in critical departmental functions, enhancing efficiency in key projects and addressing complex challenges. Collaboration will be essential as you work alongside team leads, product managers, QA engineers, the CTO, and the CSO, while also mentoring junior staff members.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and model design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Creating and sustaining comprehensive documentation for all developed models and associated code.
  • Leading significant technical projects and initiatives across various teams and departments.
  • Collaborating closely with leadership, including software team leads and product managers.
  • Offering mentorship and technical support to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing responsive systems (both embedded and cloud/web).
  • Strong understanding of distributed system architecture and its associated technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated ownership of all aspects throughout the software development lifecycle and beyond.
