Job Title: Registered Massage Therapist

Homewood Health is seeking a skilled Registered Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Registered Massage Therapist, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with healthcare professionals to provide seamless services and programs to our clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of patients' physical conditions, needs, and preferences to customize massage sessions.
  • Perform various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, active release, and cranial sacral therapy.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapy, osteopathy, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and document treatment in patients' charts according to HHC policies and the clinical documentation standards of the CMTO.
  • Perform massage therapy on a variety of Homewood patients across all program areas, with dedicated hours in the Integrated Pain Service.
  • Perform massage therapy on Homewood clinical staff working onsite.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive clinic environment, promoting a culture of compassion, understanding, and empathy for patients living with mental health challenges and chronic pain.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
  • New graduates are welcome.
  • Experience treating patients MSK injuries and chronic pain is an asset.
  • Interest in the intersection between massage therapy and mental health.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centric approach to care, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in the treatment of pain.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Registered provider with Veteran's Affairs and Green Shield is an asset.
  • Ability to direct bill for services through TELUS eClaims, Medavie Blue Cross, and providerConnect.
