Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care, assess patients, and develop and implement individualized care plans. Your expertise and passion for delivering high-quality patient care will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote person-centered care, patient advocacy, and empowerment.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and implementing interventions to promote patient safety and well-being.
- Participate in care conferences and councils to discuss patient care, share knowledge, and improve patient outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with Fraser Health Authority's policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
