- Develop and implement construction plans in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Construction
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Maintenance and Repair
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties.
- Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
