Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at THE GURU FINE INDIAN CUISINE (2289833 Ontario Inc.).
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our discerning customers.
- Chef Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of skilled cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations and exceptional food quality.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and coaching to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, and promote a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a chef or in a related role is preferred.
- Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and be comfortable with the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Physical Capabilities: The Executive Chef must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: The Executive Chef must be meticulous in their attention to detail and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Fast-Paced Environment: The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask with ease.
- Handling Heavy Loads: The Executive Chef must be able to lift heavy loads and be physically fit to perform the demands of the role.
- Client Focus: The Executive Chef must be able to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a memorable dining experience.
- Dependability: The ideal candidate will be reliable and dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: The Executive Chef must be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Initiative: The ideal candidate will be proactive and take the initiative to improve processes and procedures.
- Judgement: The Executive Chef must use sound judgement and make informed decisions to ensure the success of the kitchen and the company.
- Organized: The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
