IT Auditor

Our client, a leading financial institution in Canada, is seeking an experienced IT Auditor to join their team for a 6-month contract with potential extension. This role combines on-site and remote work, with 2 days per week spent in Toronto.

1. Conduct thorough audit testing, engage with management, and document work performed.
2. Execute, plan, and report on assigned audit projects.
3. Deliver end-to-end process execution, ensuring testing is appropriate to support objectives, scope, and overall opinion.
4. Review work papers, document internal control weaknesses, and complete timely reviews.
5. Ensure audit results are gathered, determine root causes, and report accordingly.
6. Review and edit reports, summarize issues, and present audit results to line management.
7. Ensure audit reports meet high standards and are finalized within established metrics.

1. 8+ years of hands-on IT audit experience.
2. CISA certification.
3. Proficiency in auditing IT processes, general controls, application, data, third-party, technology controls, and project audits.
4. Working knowledge of operations and regulatory environments for assigned responsibilities.

1. Technology Risk Management experience in the financial services industry.
2. Big 4 accounting firms experience.

1. Bachelor's degree in IT, business, accounting, or related field.
2. CISA certification required.
3. CRISC/CPA an asset.
