Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and graders to perform excavation, grading, and landscaping tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repair tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Accident Reporting: Accurately document and report any accidents or incidents involving equipment or personnel.
  • Equipment Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean and lubricate equipment regularly to maintain optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Certifications: Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Silver Star Sod & Landscaping Ltd, you will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with regular overtime required.
