Secure Energy: Quality Assurance Chemist Role

The Quality Assurance Chemist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products through routine and non-routine testing. This includes validating methods, maintaining quality assurance data and records, and providing continuous support to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a focus on quality, service excellence, and efficiency within areas of responsibility
  • Perform routine quality assurance testing and provide guidance on raw materials and blending plant products
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization
  • Observe and participate in health and safety protocols
  • Contribute to laboratory documentation related to safety, quality, and training

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing sector plant quality laboratory
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related technical diploma or degree from SAIT/NAIT
  • Adherence to Secure Energy's occupational health and safety standards
  • Oil and gas production chemicals experience is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
