Lead Civil Infrastructure Project Manager

BEL Contracting, a key player within NorLand Limited, is seeking a dedicated Senior Project Manager to oversee significant heavy civil infrastructure initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing projects valued up to $100 million, with a focus on ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project contracts, plans, and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and establish project requirements and milestones.
- Direct a project team to safely achieve project milestones while adhering to budgetary constraints and specifications.
- Oversee all facets of project performance, including startup, safety, cost management, scheduling, quality assurance, environmental compliance, client relations, operations, scope modifications, billing, and project closeout.
- Foster and maintain robust, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Engage in project pursuits and lead proposal efforts as necessary.
- Guide and mentor junior team members to enhance their professional development.
- Manage claims and change orders effectively.
Qualifications:
- A P.Eng designation, technical diploma, or substantial industry experience is essential.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from inception to completion within Canada.
- Proven onsite project management experience in large-scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects, including highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures.
- Proficient in managing client development, addressing client issues, and providing exceptional service.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
- A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a confidential, fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
This position offers a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary starting from $110,000 per annum, commensurate with the successful candidate's skills and experience. As part of NorLand's comprehensive compensation package, this role is eligible for additional benefits based on program eligibility.
