Kitchen Prep Assistant

Nbox Port Alberni Foods Inc. is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a spotless kitchen by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces, equipment, and utensils. This includes worktops, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and waste disposal units.
- Ensure proper food handling practices by washing, peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs according to established guidelines.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in designated refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment by removing garbage and trash promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing them regularly.
Qualifications:
- No formal education or certification required.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
