Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods from one location to another.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules.
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Supports accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work 40 to 60 hours per week
  • English or French language proficiency
