Specialized Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Specialized Driver to join our team at Groupe Robert. As a Specialized Driver, you will be responsible for operating a heavy weight vehicle on a preset route and schedule, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a heavy weight vehicle from one location to another, with or without load, following a predetermined route and schedule
• Be responsible for the vehicle, load, and safety while driving
• Check general vehicle condition and report any faults or damage
• Check total and axial loads to predict vehicle reaction
• Perform routine activities and tasks
• Meet customers, pick up and deliver goods, and ensure all documents are signed
• Notify the workshop of any vehicle abnormalities and required mechanical repairs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Class 1 driver
• Excellent driving record
• Functional French and English language skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to drive a truck safely, courteously, and efficiently
