About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bakery Team Member to join our team at Foodland. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Customer Service: Prepare special orders and provide excellent customer service to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket or bakery department.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
