Travel Professionals International is seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Professional Development Manager to join our growing team in Western Canada.

This role is crucial for driving the success of our independent travel advisors by providing expert training, coaching, and support. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the travel industry, proven sales acumen, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Position Objective:

The Regional Professional Development Manager (RPDM) will be responsible for delivering innovative training sessions designed to enhance advisor performance and drive individual and company sales growth. The RPDM will also provide effective coaching and mentorship, empowering advisors to leverage Trevello's tools and resources to their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to travel advisors, focusing on business development strategies, utilization of industry-leading tools (Sabre, CBO, Grasp reporting tool), marketing initiatives, and sales engagement techniques.
  • Develop and implement tailored Personal Development Plans for each advisor, aligning their goals with the company's objectives.
  • Identify emerging sales opportunities within the region and collaborate with advisors to execute successful sales initiatives and promotions.
  • Cultivate a strong network of travel professionals by organizing regional meetings, gatherings, and networking events.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of direct retail leisure travel industry experience with a proven track record of success.
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring and developing travel advisors, fostering their growth and expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic marketing and business plans for independent businesses within the travel sector.
  • Proficiency in industry software (Sabre & CBO), Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent computer skills.
  • CTC or CTM accreditation is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service focus, communication skills, and a self-motivated, results-oriented approach.
  • A positive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs and industry trends.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
