Uap Inc. (Napa Auto Parts and Traction HVPD) is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for delivering and retrieving messages, packages, and other items by hand, operating vehicles to transport various items, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and Retrieve Items: Safely transport messages, packages, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Operate Vehicles: Drive company vehicles to transport various items, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to their needs and concerns.
- Receive and Relay Information: Receive information from dispatch and relay it to the relevant parties, ensuring seamless communication.
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Follow Directions and Navigate: Use maps and GPS to navigate to delivery locations, following all directions and instructions.
- Perform Vehicle Inspections: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
- Fast-Paced Setting: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of activity and energy.
- Walking Involved: Spend a significant amount of time walking, with frequent stops and starts.
- Lift Items Up to 23 kg (50 lbs): Regularly lift items up to 23 kg (50 lbs), with occasional heavier lifting required.
- Organized: Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Reliable: Demonstrate a high level of reliability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results.
