Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Glazier to join our team at Alpine Glass Windows & Doors Ltd. This permanent position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with a focus on providing exceptional service in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine the appropriate type of glass, frames, and materials needed for each project.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass with precision.
  • Securely position and install glass panes within frames.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass products, mirrors, and other glass structures.
  • Install necessary hardware for doors and windows.
  • Perform repairs on glass doors and various glass installations.
  • Set up and dismantle scaffolding and rigging as required.
  • Safely transport glass cases to job sites.
  • Utilize man-lift equipment, cranes, and other lifting devices for installation tasks.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A valid Working at Heights training certification.
  • A First Aid Certificate.
  • A WHMIS Certificate for handling hazardous materials.
Specialization Areas

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

  • Installation of skylights and sloped glazing.
  • Commercial storefronts and window systems.
  • Shower doors and tub enclosures.
  • Automotive glass installations, including windshields and sunroofs.
Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires:

  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Extended periods of standing.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary.
Experience

Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the glazing industry.
