Position Overview

Day-Job Plumbing Solutions Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing systems and be capable of handling various plumbing tasks in both residential and commercial settings.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in plumbing or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in plumbing.
Work Environment
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in wet or damp conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems in various settings.
  • Identify and mark locations for pipe connections and fixtures.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe installation.
  • Assemble and join pipes using various methods including soldering and welding.
  • Conduct leak tests on piping systems using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Assess piping system requirements and perform necessary calculations for pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, and shape pipes to meet specific requirements.
  • Connect plumbing systems to water mains and other supply sources.
Certifications
  • Must hold a valid Plumber Trade Certification.
Specialized Skills
  • Experience with water heaters and boiler installations.
  • Knowledge of heat pump systems.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong client focus and excellent communication skills.

  • Work hours: 35 hours per week.
