Position Overview

Day-Job Plumbing Solutions Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and related water supply services.

Qualifications
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in the plumbing field
Work Environment
  • Confined spaces
  • Wet or damp conditions
Key Responsibilities
  • Install plumbing fixtures and systems for residential, commercial, or industrial applications.
  • Identify and mark locations for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
  • Assemble pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding techniques.
  • Conduct leak tests on pipes using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Assess piping system requirements and determine appropriate pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the necessary specifications.
  • Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment.
Certifications
  • Plumber Trade Certification is required.
Specialized Skills
  • Experience with water heaters and boiler installations.
  • Knowledge of heat pump systems.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
  • Vulnerable sector check is mandatory.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong client focus and commitment to service excellence.
