We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Operations Manager to join our team at Black Diamond Group Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight of divisional accounting functions, ensuring month-end accounting processes are followed, and reviewing financial reports for accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring that all accounting functions are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Review and analyze financial reports, including income statements, capital and cash flows, and identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with the Vice President, Operations Controller to ensure that accounting processes are followed and results comply with company policies
* Conduct analytical reviews of business unit performance and results to budget, for monthly management reporting, forecasting, accruals and actuals
* Participate in partnership audits as required by stakeholders, including intercompany, interdivisional and Joint Venture elimination processes
* Support Senior Leadership & Regional Management in preparing budget & forecasts and reporting of actuals
* Assist in performing ad hoc analysis for internal reporting purposes
* Ensure proper adherence to all administrative and operational processes, procedures and policies in relation to assets
* Provide feedback to effectively design preventative and detective controls to aid in the accuracy timeliness of financial statements

Requirements

* University Degree in Finance or Accounting
* Professional accounting designation is required
* Rental and Project accounting experience is an asset
* 5+ years' experience in accounting or an accounting related role
* Previous leadership experience is an asset
* IFRS Accounting experience is an asset
* Extensive experience and understanding of accounting programs, ERP Systems and Microsoft Applications
* Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments
* Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines
* Excellent analytical skills and takes initiatives to solve problems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
