Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Operations Manager to join our team at Black Diamond Group Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight to our divisional accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial leadership and oversight to divisional accounting functions, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Operations Controller to provide updates on accounting for the division.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of business unit performance and results to budget, for monthly management reporting, forecasting, and actuals.
  • Review and analyze business unit financial forecasting, including income statement, capital, and cash flows.
  • Prepare and evaluate financial operating reports and present findings and recommendations.
  • Oversee monthly sales commission for MSS Sales Team.
  • Participate in partnership audits as required by stakeholders.
  • Support Senior Leadership and Regional Management in preparing budget and forecasts and reporting of actuals.
  • Assist in performing ad hoc analysis for internal reporting purposes.
  • Support Corporate Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, and external auditors for business unit audit requests and external reporting.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional accounting designation is required.
  • Rental and Project accounting experience is an asset.
  • 5+ years' experience in accounting or an accounting-related role.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
  • IFRS Accounting experience is an asset.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of accounting programs, ERP Systems, and Microsoft Applications.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
