Job Summary:

The British Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance English Language Instructor to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic. As a Freelance English Language Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to students of various ages and levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver teaching to the highest standards of English language teaching (ELT)
  • Enhance the British Council's reputation as a world authority in ELT
  • Continuing professional development and sharing of best practices

Requirements:

  • Hold a Cambridge CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL (Core) qualification
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' full-time teaching experience post-certificate
  • Be able to teach at least two of the relevant three age groups: Young Learner teaching aged 6-12, Young Learner teaching aged 12-16, and Adults teaching (200+ hours)

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a CELTYL or TYLEC qualification
  • Hold a DELTA or Dip TEFL/TESOL (Higher) qualification
  • Hold an MA TESOL (or equivalent) qualification
  • Be proficient in online delivery using Zoom or similar platforms
  • Have experience teaching a range of different levels and exam preparation classes
  • Have experience teaching online
