About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Ross and Acker Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management
    • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other healthcare professionals
    • Check prescriptions for proper dosage
    • Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients
  • Customer Service
    • Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
    • Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
  • Inventory Management
    • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
    • Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route
    • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
    • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
