Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Ross and Acker Inc. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications, advising patients on medication use, and maintaining accurate medication profiles. You will also be expected to supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacy staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense prescribed medications to patients or other healthcare professionals
  • Advise patients on medication use, including indications, contraindications, and potential side effects
  • Maintain accurate medication profiles, including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and technicians
  • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
