Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Aworks Tiling LTD. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles, as well as mixing, applying, and spreading adhesives using hand trowels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, repairing, and applying adhesives
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement
  • Mix and apply adhesives using hand trowels
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Install tile strips and build underbeds
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting
  • On-the-job training provided
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy materials
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, 30-hour per week position with a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers. We offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, as well as cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
