Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and Analyze Incidents

Conduct thorough investigations into workplace accidents, illnesses, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Develop and Implement Safety Programs

Design and implement effective safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses, including training, inspections, and monitoring.

Conduct Workplace Inspections

Regularly inspect workplaces to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Provide Training and Education

Develop and deliver training programs to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and best practices.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

Work closely with employees, management, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a similar industry.

Certifications

Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors Certificate.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
