Position Overview

As a vital member of the ScotiaMcLeod team, the Senior Associate plays a key role in our Wealth Management division. This position involves collaborating closely with the lead Portfolio Manager and fellow team members to enhance and manage a diverse portfolio of clients through exceptional service and strategic business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis and present insightful reports and recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Create and disseminate effective client communication and marketing materials.
  • Evaluate and refine administrative processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in task completion.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of client investment goals and risk profiles in relation to the Portfolio Manager's strategies.
  • Foster strong working relationships within the team and across various business units.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to enhance asset acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of investment products and services to uncover additional opportunities within the existing client base.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience within the securities sector.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct Practices Handbook (CPH), and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course.
  • Registration as a Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management capabilities.
  • Outstanding client service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
