Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of medical laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and treat patients.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including imaging and laboratory devices.
- Collect and analyze patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by CAMRT.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
- Must maintain current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM).
- Previous related experience in a medical laboratory or imaging setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
