Calgary Peterbilt, a prominent group of privately owned dealerships, is seeking to enhance its accounting team. If you are a meticulous and organized individual with prior accounting experience, we would like to explore potential opportunities with you.

We are on the lookout for an Accounting Clerk who is eager to advance their career and excel in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role involves assisting in the management of the company's financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess some accounting experience, a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to expand their knowledge within a dealership setting.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable
  • Managing accounts receivable
  • Reconciling various accounts
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Performing data entry and journal entries
  • Recording and reconciling daily parts and service transactions
  • Reconciling bank transactions
  • Handling bank deposits
  • Maintaining filing and record-keeping systems
  • Assisting with training sessions
  • Participating in the Safety Committee
  • Covering reception duties as needed
  • Executing other accounting and administrative tasks as required

Your Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with CDK or dealership management software is a plus
  • Well-organized with excellent time management abilities
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 annually
