We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Jay Patry Enterprises LLC. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety.
Employment Details- Employment Duration: Permanent

- Work Hours: 40 hours per week
- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in carpentry is preferred.
- Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and exposure to noisy and dusty conditions.
- Job settings include construction sites and residential projects.
- Prepare labor and material cost estimates.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to ascertain work requirements.
- Develop layouts in compliance with building codes using appropriate measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood and lightweight steel.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for projects.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roofing systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Coordinate and schedule work on job sites.
- Instruct and supervise apprentices and other workers.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.
- Responsible for supervising 1 to 2 individuals.
- Completion of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training.
- Training for working at heights is required.
- Experience with hand tools is essential.
- Public transportation options are available.
- Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is necessary.
- Must be able to handle heavy loads and work under tight deadlines.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Must provide own tools and safety equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and vests.
