Role Overview: The Energy Efficiency Engineer will collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Plant Manager, fostering effective communication with other departments to identify necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ammonia refrigeration systems and all Freon-based refrigeration units.
  • Manage heating and air conditioning systems, as well as water heating equipment.
  • Direct operational projects to enhance capability, output, and system efficiency while supporting safety and validation efforts.
  • Engage in strategic planning to ensure departmental functions align with corporate objectives.
  • Work in tandem with the Quality Assurance team to uphold specifications and quality standards, enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations.
  • Maintain firefighting equipment, including fire sprinklers and extinguishers.
  • Operate and manage the wastewater treatment facility in accordance with municipal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge in mechanical engineering, project management, facilities management, and systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various operational departments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, cost implications, and efficiency requirements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
