ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of the Skates Business Unit, the Product Strategy Lead is essential in driving the company's success in the skates category. This role requires a high-performing individual who will oversee all facets of the CCM skate strategy, including product configuration, portfolio management, pricing, marketing assets, and financial oversight. The Product Strategy Lead will leverage consumer insights, research, and market feedback to influence the development of future skate products and guide the design and development teams in innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of regional markets and establish a robust retail network. Gather insights and coordinate research efforts to inform product direction and competitive intelligence.
- Product Line Development: Collaborate with designers and developers to create skate products that meet consumer and dealer needs across various segments. Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to optimize communication strategies and enhance product narratives.
- Presentation Leadership: Spearhead the creation of engaging content and presentations tailored for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, internal sales teams, and retail partners.
- Pricing Strategy: Lead the development of pricing and product mix strategies to maximize value for CCM and its customers.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to identify and present various product line scenarios that capitalize on market opportunities and align with CCM's business objectives.
- SKU Management: Regularly assess the global SKU offering to identify trends and opportunities for product expansion or reduction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or a related field; an MBA or Master's Degree is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Retail industry experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to utilize data to support business decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent writing and presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in influencing and leading stakeholders.
- Bilingual in French and English, both oral and written.
