Position Summary

The User Terminal Project Coordinator - Antennas will play a crucial role within the engineering team, collaborating with external technology vendors to develop user terminal solutions. Reporting to the Director of UT Program Management, this position demands a skilled project coordinator with a background in technical development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee project timelines, schedules, and milestones for various user terminal vendors, including flat panel antenna development.
  • Facilitate project coordination among cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of solutions.
  • Manage project scope, including contracts, statements of work, and executive reporting.
  • Oversee user terminal programs, particularly flat panel antennas, and provide progress updates.
  • Track both internal and external development activities, identifying risks and challenges for the overall Lightspeed program.
  • Generate necessary documentation for effective management and execution of user terminal programs in collaboration with engineering experts.
  • Prepare and disseminate regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks, changes, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferably in communication systems or satellite terminals.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a STEM discipline.
  • A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors, including design and manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in an office environment with a hybrid work model.
  • Occasional travel, including international trips, may be required.
