Clinical Laboratory Technician II

Under the guidance of the Chief Technologist or their delegate, the Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collection, preparation, and analysis of specimens, along with various clerical and laboratory support tasks. This role includes conducting inpatient and/or outpatient Electrocardiogram (ECG) assessments and Holter monitor evaluations as necessary, while also providing clear explanations of testing procedures. Routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment are also part of the responsibilities.
Work Schedule:Shifts include Days, Evenings, with hours ranging from 09:00 to 17:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 06:00 to 14:00, 05:30 to 13:30, and 14:00 to 22:00 (Rotating).
Qualifications- Completion of Grade 12, along with a recognized Lab Assistant training program and a minimum of one (1) year of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with others.
- Physical capability to perform the duties associated with the position.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operating relevant equipment.
- Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
