Parts Inventory Specialist

Position Overview

  • Responsible for the reception, validation, labeling, storage, documentation, and safeguarding of all components and supplies within the Parts Room.
  • Receives and organizes inventory items.
  • Conducts assessments on pricing and quality.
  • Provides customer service at the counter.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves, bins, and racks.
  • Inputs essential data into the computer system and ensures the accuracy of this information.
  • Generates reports as required.
  • Ensures the accuracy of relevant information on repair orders.
  • Keeps the parts facility clean and orderly.
  • Handles phone communications effectively.
  • Orders special (non-stock) components for repair orders.
  • Manages core returns and parts returns.
  • Monitors reorder levels and replenishes inventory.
  • Maintains files and other related documentation.
  • Operates the record-keeping system for repair orders and parts as per corporate and customer requirements.
  • Records sales and repair orders following proper procedures.

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

1-3 years of experience in a parts room is strongly preferred
Excellent communication abilities
Proven capability in building strong relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates
Proficient in computer usage
Strong attention to detail
