About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Crest Hotel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel premises.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the hallways, floors, and stairs are swept, mopped, and waxed on a regular basis.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt from the premises.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Advertise vacancies and perform safety and security checks.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of independence.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.


Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
