Overview: We are in search of a proficient SOX Compliance Manager to become a vital part of our organization. Reporting directly to the Director of SOX Compliance, the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations across essential business operations and technological frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations and technological systems, evaluate risks, and ensure alignment with SOX mandates.
- Perform assessments to determine the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Oversee identified deficiencies and manage corrective action plans.
- Formulate resource strategies to comply with SOX timelines.
- Review and validate the work produced by the compliance team while maintaining thorough audit documentation.
- Engage collaboratively with control owners and external auditors.
- Facilitate training sessions on SOX compliance and assist in reliance testing efforts.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or a related domain.
- A degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a comparable field.
- Familiarity with US GAAP, COSO framework, Auditing Standards, and SOX regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-driven with a keen attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative.
- A positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
