About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Database Team at Activision. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based database platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available database solutions using cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and Vitess.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our database platform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based database systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including Kubernetes and Vitess.
  • Experience with container orchestration and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
