Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, working closely with our dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements

Work Environment

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working independently, but as part of a team. You will be required to spend extended periods on the road, often away from home. You will be responsible for maintaining your vehicle and ensuring it is in good working condition.
