About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Edmonton Construction. As a Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting projects are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces remain in good condition.
  • Paint Application: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques.
  • Equipment Operation: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as required, to ensure safe access to high areas.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets our high standards, and make any necessary adjustments.
Work Environment

As a Painter with Edmonton Construction, you will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and client premises. You will be required to work at heights, and in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods, and to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
