Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ERP and Database Systems Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of database administration principles and experience managing enterprise-level systems. This role will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting our JD Edwards ERP system and SQL Server databases.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage the existing JD Edwards ERP system, including building and deploying new packages, installing ESU's, system upgrades, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Manage and deploy SQL Server Databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and backups.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive systems documentation to support integrations between database and application systems.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for ERP and SQL Systems, offering guidance and expertise to the Tier 2 support team.
  • Collaborate on projects focused on continuous improvement and IT department goals, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • A two-year technical diploma in Information Technology/Electrical Engineering Technology or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in server administration, database platforms, virtualization, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Project Management experience or certifications are highly valued.
  • ITIL, ISC2, and Microsoft SQL related Certifications are considered assets.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders.
