About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at HIDE-A-WAY CAFE. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Lead and manage a team of food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet the highest quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.

Customer Service and Relations

Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

Prepare and submit accurate reports, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Work Schedules and Planning

Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Environment and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and maintain a high level of physical activity.

Personal Suitability

Excellent team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
