We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a member of the multidisciplinary adult care team, the incumbent provides nursing assessment and treatment services for adults who may suffer from various psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults with psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide individual and group therapies as part of the treatment plan
• Liaise with other members of the health team and community agencies
• Participate in educational services, planning, and policy recommendations
Requirements
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
• Current CPR and Blood Glucose Monitoring certification
• Post graduate psychiatric nursing course for RN's, Canadian Nurses Association certification program in psychiatry, or equivalent combination of training or experience
