The ideal candidate will be a meticulous scientist with a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative formulations and processes for new pharmaceutical products, encompassing literature research, sourcing raw materials and packaging components, preparing lab-scale developmental batches, and designing experiments to optimize final formulations and processes.
  • Create Master Formula and Packaging Work Orders for exhibit batches, facilitating manufacturing and packaging of these batches.
  • Meticulously document all research activities, including protocols, experimental procedures, observations, and formulation development reports.
  • Actively participate in technical transfer initiatives, process validation, and troubleshooting during commercial production under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Proactively plan project development activities and consistently update outcomes and progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Stay current with GMP/GLP requirements by completing relevant training and ensuring all activities and documentation comply with these standards.

Qualifications

  • A strong theoretical and practical understanding of liquid and semi-solid formulation development.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating experiments.
  • A comprehensive understanding of GMP guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with at least one year of experience in formulation development is preferred. Alternatively, a B.Sc. or community college degree with three years of experience in semi-solid and liquid formulation development will be considered.
