Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Supervisor to join our team at Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous?. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our distribution center, ensuring seamless execution of our logistics and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of associates, ensuring they are trained and equipped to meet the demands of the distribution center.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.
- Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, and inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any issues or concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, or in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience with inventory management, cycle counting, and inventory discrepancies.
- Knowledge of RF picking and WMS/ERP systems.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a strong focus on customer service.
