Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technologist to contribute to our electrical power system testing and commissioning efforts in British Columbia. Our field services division is among the largest in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert technical support and quality service to clients while prioritizing safety.
  • Assess technical issues on-site and provide clients with recommendations for necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve project management challenges and uphold safety standards.
  • Manage multiple small-scale projects by effectively coordinating technical staff, equipment, and resources to meet client expectations.
  • Mentor junior technical staff, offering hands-on training in technical procedures.
  • Apply expertise to projects related to transformer testing, industrial plant and utility relaying protection, metering schemes, switchgear testing/maintenance, power system design, and turnkey substations.
Qualifications:
  • A recognized 2-year technical college diploma in Applied Science Technology, Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in an Electrical Engineering Technologist role is advantageous.
  • PSE or C.E.T designation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cable termination for brands like 3M, Raychem, and Pfisterer is beneficial.
  • NETA certification is a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary due to fieldwork requirements.
  • A Canadian passport is preferred for potential travel opportunities.

  • Salary range: $35 to $55 based on experience.
