Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team at Intercity Packers Ltd. in the Grinding Department. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and packing our products in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble products for packaging and distribution
  • Operate processing machines and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, and transfer products to and from equipment or conveyors
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and packaging standards
  • Dispose of waste and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Report any quality defects or issues during production
  • Follow and complete production schedules and tasks
  • Commit to food safety and adhere to HACCP and CFIA hygiene rules and sanitary work practices

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
