Job Title: Production Worker - Grinding Department

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team in the Grinding Department at Intercity Packers Ltd.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and packing products in our Richmond location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite before, during, and after production activities
  • Feed and unload processing machines
  • Safely load, unload, and transfer products to and from equipment or conveyors
  • Conduct product quality checks, including specification, packaging, produce, and seal integrity
  • Dispose of garbage, including boxes and bags
  • Report any quality defects during production
  • Follow and complete the production schedule
  • Adhere to HACCP and CFIA hygiene rules and sanitary work practices
Requirements:
  • Comfortable working in refrigeration
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Effective verbal and listening communications skills
  • Commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
